So when is it really time to potty train? McKenna is about to turn 2 (on the 10th of October), which is way earlier than I potty trained the boys. But as I am taking pictures (smelling something) she says "Mommy I poop" As much as I would like to pretend it isn't time...when they can say the words in a sentence it is difficult to deny!

No, you don't have to. But let me tell you this - Uncle Chandler is NOT going to change her diaper when she is 10 years old. I have my limits you know.
You can try it, but don't force it... I kept Avery in diapers for awhile while we were in potting training session number 1 (poop). Avery got the poop in the potty WAY before pee in the potty. It was a slow process.
